President Obama's campaign couldn't have come at a better time. This country is feeling beaten down and the message of change made a lot of us actually wake up and move! Besides that, it was also a time that the younger generations felt more strongly about wanting someone a little bit younger in the White House. McCain was living in yesterday because he belongs to a different era. I'm not saying that we don't need to respect those who have lived through our history and made it what it was but they all had their time and they dealt with things the way they saw fit. It's our time now and we rose to the occasion by coming out in numbers that no previous election has seen. If Obama's presidency brings us nothing I hope that we'll all remember that it taught us that we Americans DO care, we are smarter and more sensitive than people from the outside world sometimes believe us to be and that we were strong enough to take a stand when we felt that things were going in the completely wrong direction.

I was just talking to my sister about the older men that sit in the white house and that run...and it isn't that I don't think that they have something to bring to the table it's just that they were raised and LIVED in another era. Things are changing quickly and we can't look to the past to guide our country into a new future. Plus, foreign policy has been sucking hard for a long time. I hope that we can gain some respect from the outside world now.
